Anxiety therapy in Berlin and online – in English
Anxiety can take many forms – persistent worry that won’t switch off, panic attacks that come out of nowhere, social anxiety that makes everyday situations feel unbearable, or a creeping avoidance of things that used to feel normal.
If anxiety is limiting your life, therapy can help. I offer evidence-based anxiety treatment in English, in Berlin and online.

Types of anxiety I work with
Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) – constant, hard-to-control worry across many areas of life
Panic disorder – unexpected or situational panic attacks, with or without agoraphobia
Social anxiety – fear of judgement, embarrassment or scrutiny in social situations
Generalised worry and perfectionism
Specific phobias – intense fear of particular objects, situations or places
Health anxiety (hypochondria) – persistent fears about illness
Agoraphobia – avoidance of situations where escape feels difficult

03
How anxiety therapy works
I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – the most thoroughly researched treatment for anxiety disorders. The goal isn’t to eliminate anxiety altogether (some anxiety is useful), but to change your relationship to it, so it stops running the show and you can go back to what you cherish and value in life.
04
Key elements of treatment
Depending on your needs, treatment can include:
✓ Psychoeducation – understanding how anxiety works and why avoidance keeps it alive
✓ Cognitive restructuring – identifying and challenging anxious thought patterns
✓ Graded exposure – gradually approaching feared situations at a manageable pace
✓ ACT and mindfulness – building a different relationship with anxious thoughts and feelings
✓ Relaxation and self-regulation techniques
Availability: I am currently on parental leave. I will be taking new enquiries from December 2026, with appointments available from January 2027. You’re welcome to get in touch now to join the waitlist.

Anxiety and expat life
Living in a new country is inherently stressful. Language barriers, cultural adjustment, professional uncertainty and distance from your support network can all trigger or worsen anxiety. Navigating the German healthcare system on top of all that – in a language that isn’t your own – adds another layer. As an English-speaking therapist in Berlin with experience working with international clients, I understand this experience and take it seriously.
Online anxiety therapy
For many people with anxiety, the idea of coming in person to a new place – to talk to a stranger about fear – is itself anxiety-provoking. Online therapy can be a more accessible first step. It’s just as effective, and you can do it from the comfort and safety of home.
